About

The Jacksonville Community Association is a 504-c3 non-profit organization, incorporated in 1960.  Our aim is to foster and strengthen community ties, promote involvement in civic affairs, and be a voice on behalf of Jacksonville in local government.  We own and maintain a ten-acre park adjacent to the Hamlet on Swamp College Rd, that is open to the public from dawn to dusk and features a sizable pond, picnic tables, walking trails, playing field, and a pavilion that is available to rent for events.  The JCA hosts an annual spring clean up of the park, a joint picnic with the Jacksonville Community United Methodist Church, and other events open to all. The JCA holds spring and a fall all-member meetings, and monthly board meetings that are open to the public.  See our calendar for a listing of all meetings and events.
